Hello Everyone,
What happened to 2011, it’s nearly over!? Time feels half of what it used to be.
With the exception of “TEARS OF THE DRAGON” my last 2 years output has been been dominated by a medieval-Celtic period of writing. Of course many of you love this, but for my fans who prefer different subjects, or miss lighter, catchy styles of my other and earlier works, I have not forgotten you and this news is for you. There is a sort of pendulum effect to writing music, one gets wrapped up in a path and style until you’ve exhausted and expressed the ideas you had. Then the pendulum swings back taking you in the opposite direction again. This has happened throughout my career, swinging from one set of styles to another, Sounth American / Ethnic to Celtic/Medieval. After the run of Druid 2, Clan 3, and Knight, I now have an overwhelming desire to go back to the simpler, catchy, feel good other styles I have. Starting with LOST IN TIBET in Feb-2012, and working towards a possible Medicine Woman V. May you enjoy the journey with me.
Best Wishes

In Tears Of The Dragon as well as Dragon’s Breath/Keep you portray the dragon from the human perspective. Have you ever thought to portray the dragon from the dragons perspective?
Hi Beverley,
Yes that’s a nice idea, thank you. I did exactly that for Dolphins, I first produced “Way of the Dolphin”, then a few year later produced “Dolphin Quest” which was looking at the world of a Dolphin through their eyes.

Hi Med,

thank you so for the answer.
Of course I’ve enjoyed a lot the latest albums, which give me endless pleasures during my nidra or visualisation sessions.
The Celtic titles are perfect to enhance misty moods of Tamas consciousness.
I keep a deep tenderness for the simple moods from the early years, and especially for hauting tunes such as ‘ Early moring’ or ‘ The lady of grey days’…Yes I am an old old fan!
That’s why I am truly looking forward the 2012-Med!
About other things, do you sometimes play cardgames? I have a gift to send to you…hussshhhh…. I’ll give no clue…
All the best

Hi Jean-pierre,
Thank you.
)
I remember your name well, you have been buying my CD’s for years
I don’t play card games. However I have been known to play World Of Warcraft, I think Runestone play Guild Wars too…..big kids both of us
I am sure you will enjoy 2012. Midori too has some lovely titles coming – A Promise of Enchantment and A Promise of Love. There is also a huge surprise coming in 2012. Can’t say yet.

Hi Med,
I was wondering about earliest tunes such as In the stilness, Angel sleep or Kindred spirit.
The simple tones from a sattva, innocent consciousness: do you plan to produce new solids on this mood in the coming months?
Mellow guitars, humming voices, bells and a keyboard distant touch…
Thank you Med, and all the best

Hello Jean-Pierre,
My earliest albums like “In the Stillness”, “Angel Sleep” and “Kindred Spirits”, were dominated by my performance on a natural Electric Guitar, A Fender Stratocaster.
Indeed at the moment I am finding and gathering a lot of the sounds and instruments that I used in my early to mid career. The Fender Guitar from “In the Stilless” to “way fo the Dolphin”, the panpipes from “Earth Healer” to “Moon Goddess”, “Nazca”, “Rhythm of the Ancients”. The Marimba also. Warm early keyboard sounds that were on all of those albums. Retro Medwyn sounds I have not used in 10-15 years.
My hope is to create a few albums that have the sound and feeling of my past, but still sound fresh, offer something new and have todays sound quality. One can never repeat, so it isn’t an attempt to repeat myself, but I can bring back the sounds and instruments I used and create new and vibrant material that have a very similar feel. It’s a bit like falling in love again with sounds I have not touched in a long time. When the first CD comes out “Lost in Tibet”, many fans are going to recognise the Guitars, the marimba, the Enya like choirs, the Sicu-panpipe and simpler approach that many of my earlier albums used. It’s going to be fun.
Best Wishes
